Functieomschrijving

Our client is looking for an experienced scientist with a strong background in virology and vaccine development. In this role you lead a team of 2-4 technicians involved in projects aimed at viral vector generation in the context of vaccine development. The team uses a broad range of assays to characterize generate and test (adeno) viral vectors. As a scientist you have a crucial role in plannging, writing study plans, guarding deadlines and deliverables. Strong organisational and project management skills are a must.

Ervaring Starter (0 - 3 jaar)

For this challenging position we are looking for a professional with the following background:

  • PhD in biotechnology, lifesciences or similar with an emphasis on virology
  • At least 3+ years of industrial experience as a scientist is mandatory
  • Demonstrable experience with viral vectors / vaccine development
  • Experience with a broad range of assays; infectivity assays, Western Blot, sequence analysis, (q)PCR, etc.
  • Experience with vaccine development as well as GMP, BSL II, BSL III, is considered a big plus
  • Strong team leading and project management skills
  • Only applicants with a valid work permit are eligible

Salary: €4000 to €6500 gross monthly

Hours: 40 per week
