The Commercial Department is manned by a group of experienced Account Managers with a practical mentality. Each has his own geographical regions to cover, and is responsible for booking cargo, but they operate as a team, exchanging leads and knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere.

Together, they are responsible for the optimal utilization of Jumbo’s 14 vessels by finding the best logistical solution for the client’s challenge. When it comes to serving clients, it’s our partnering mentality and focus on safety that we are most proud of. This mentality has made clients come back to Jumbo time and again, sometimes dating back to the very beginning in 1968.

From the start of your career you will be trained to become an Account Manager for Jumbo Shipping. You will have the same responsibilities for client relationships as your senior colleagues, who will guide you in the process. Of course you’ll work in close cooperation with our international network of agents and outside offices.

As an Account Manager, you will process inquiries and negotiate freight rates and contract details. After you contracted a cargo you will liaise with, amongst others, the Operations, Engineering and Communications departments in order to safeguard smooth execution of the project. Furthermore, you will also be exploring and developing new areas and ways of doing business.
