For the Commercial Department of Jumbo Offshore we are looking for an experienced regional Business Development Manager.

The job
The role of the regional Business Development Managers (BDM) combines the Business Development and Sales tasks for the specific region. The BDM is charged with developing Jumbo Offshore’s business interests through identifying potential clients and projects, ensuring that Jumbo Offshore receives the invitation to tender and then positioning Jumbo Offshore so that a favorable bid can be submitted. This includes the identification of partnering companies to bid with and also the formation of Joint Ventures with the partners as applicable.

Besides the operational activities you will also form the Business Development strategy in conjunction with Commercial Manager, give pricing guidance to the head office based on competition analysis and inform Jumbo Offshore on regional market developments.

Opleiding HBO, WO
Ervaring Ervaren (3 - 8 jaar)
The profile
• 5-10 years experience in the marine or offshore industry
• 3 to 5 years in a sales / business development function in the offshore industry
• Flexible, self employed and pro-active
• Keen and analytical
• Good commercial skills
• Fully conversant in English (verbal / written)
• Excellent knowledge of the offshore industry (subsea installation & topsides / jacket installation)
• Capable of detailing the capabilities of the Jumbo Offshore fleet of heavy lift vessels
• Good commercial and contractual knowledge
• Good knowledge of rules & regulations (applicable to offshore transportation & installation jobs)
• Dutch work permit obligated

Jumbo Shipping transports project cargo for very different industries, including energy, oil & gas and petrochemical industries. Floating charge (dredging equipment, airframes), port cranes, locomotives or offshore installations.

Jumbo Offshore’s core business is the installation of subsea structures, mooring systems for FPSO’s and offloading buoys and smaller jackets and topsides. With access to 12 + 2 DP2 Heavy Lift Vessels Jumbo offers a specific benefit: the combined transportation and installation of offshore structures. The DP2-HLV’s Jumbo Javelin and Fairplayer are used for subsea installation work, e.g. templates, manifolds, driven pile and suction pile mooring systems. They are also used for installing transition pieces for offshore wind farms.
